25 weeks!!! Gettin' closer!

So...here it is - my updated photo. 25 weeks and counting....I am 36 1/2 inches around now! My belly button is poking out more and more each week and its getting harder and harder to sleep! UGH! lol - someone told me my sleepless nights now from the big uncomfortable belly and the getting up numerous times to pee and the leg cramps are all God's nice little way of getting me prepared for the sleepless nights to come! You know what...I'd rather sleep now!!! lol Oh well....its all for the wonderful blessing of LIFE. I have an appointment on April Fool's Day...that ought to be fun. We know quite a few people who are pregnant or have been pregnant and I want them all to know that our prayers are with all of you - from those who's child is now in God's arms, to those who didn't necessarily plan this but know it is still a blessing to bring a child into this world and are excited to begin a new chapter in their life and to those who have planned and planned for this like Ryan and I!! I know we are all scared in our own ways and have our fears - but always know that God is right there with us all, comforting us and guiding us.

24 week update!

So...finally...I get my camera back from Ryan so I can get some pictures on here! Ryan was in Mexico City for a week on a missions trip and when he came back he had a ton of pictures to load on here and get sent to everyone. So here I am, 24 weeks along. I had my last appointment 2 weeks ago. I weighed in at 150.6lbs which means I have gained a total of 13lbs so far. My waist is 36 1/4 inches!! I was at 33 1/2 inches just 4 weeks ago!! No wonder my clothes are getting tighter!! hahaha - I really need to go buy some maternity jeans - mine just are not fitting right anymore! The baby's heart rate was about 140 bpm - which is perfect. My next appointment is on April Fool's Day! ha! I will be taking the test to see if I have gestational diabetes. Wish me luck because I would die if I did have it....I need my sweets!!! That would mean I wouldn't be eating dessert at Karen's on Sunday anymore...:( So lets just pray that it doesn't come back that I do have it!

20 Weeks!

Okay - purple it is today! So here is my 20 week update! I'm really almost 22 weeks (this Saturday, 28th) - but this is the soonest I could get anything on here. Its been a pretty busy couple of weeks!! I'm just really glad it was nice enough outside today to take Neko on a walk!! She loved it - except there was this nasty looking chow chow dog roaming around that obviously broke loose from its chain since it was dangling from its collar. He didn't like Neko too well and I thought he was going to chase us down...my heart was pumping cuz I didn't know what I would do! Luckily the dog got side tracked by some poop by a mailbox. Lucky us! Thanks to the dog that chose to poop there!!

Anywho - my next appointment is in 1 week - March 4th. I'll get to see how much weight I've gained...woohoo! I'm thinking about getting Declan's room painted next week but I'm kind of lost at what to do with it right now. I'm not sure what color or anything right now! I guess we'll figure something out.

Ryan and I were talking about Neko and how we are hopeful she will react in a positive way towards Declan and not a jealous way. A co-worker gave a bright idea! About 1 month before I'm due start carrying around a baby doll and treat it like I would Declan. Might be kind of weird trying to get the baby doll to breastfeed but whatever...KIDDING!!! HAHA - I thought that was funny. Anyway - I think its a pretty good idea.

So here it is - my 20 week picture. I really think I'm growing out below my belly button. I measured 33 1/2 inches - which is the same from 1 week before. So my guess is I'm just not growing that much there - yet....I do think I'm carrying low though!

19 Weeks!!!

So we are definitely having a boy!! :) Yay! I'm so excited to get Declan's room ready for his arrival!! So...who thinks I'm gonna pop early?? Late?? On-time?? We'll see!!! I just can't wait for it to happen!!! What's it going to be like?? What am I going to be doing when my water breaks?? All of these questions I am so anxious to answer!!

Well - anyway...here are my 19 week pictures. I only gained 1/2 an inch from 2 weeks ago. But I am measuring around my belly button and I really think I'm starting to poke out there a little bit below my belly button...what do you guys think? I weighed in at 143.6lbs at the doc last week - so I'm gaining weight slow and steady.

ITS A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like Ryan and I were right about our feeling! We have a boy in my belly!!! His name is Declan Thomas Worl - and we cannot wait to be able to hold him in our arms!!!

The ultra sound was amazing. I am pretty sure if I had one at home I would be using it every day. I could watch my baby move around and see his little hands and feet all day. I really don't think there is anything more amazing than to see your growing child before he is born. We a video of it we are trying to get transferred from VHS to DVD - as soon as we do that we will put it on here so all of you can see the ultrasound as well!

Ryan and I both cried - it was a very emotional moment that I am so happy to be experiencing with him.

So here he is - Declan Thomas Worl. According to the ultrasound my due date is July 1st....we are still hoping for July 4th! :)

Here is a video of my family finding out we are having a boy! :) I wanted to tell them all in person and Ryan couldn't wait to tell his family so we told all of his family right after the appointment. We made my family wait until that evening! hahaha I just love the excitement of it all.

So there it is....don't you just LOVE my dad's reaction to Declan's name?? haha - Trust me, we have gotten a lot of mixed reactions about it and we are okay with that. We love it and that is all that matters!!! That's all for now - I will be posting an updated belly pic this weekend!

17 weeks and counting......

I guess I will write in blue today since Ryan and me both feel as if we are having a boy....I guess we will find out soon enough - February 4th! I can't wait - we both can't wait....actually everybody we know can't wait!!! haha I don't know about you guys but there are a few very exciting times in our lives to celebrate: births, marriages, graduations....things like that - these all effect our lives while living obviously...but there is one thing that we do that effects us not only while we are living but after we die and that is choosing to follow Christ. That's what my sister did today and I couldn't be more excited! She now has a "re-birthday" so to speak - and that is January 25th! So congrats to my sis - Happy Birthday and welcome to the family!

Okay - I had to share my excitement with everyone and give my sis a "shout out"!! Holla!!!

Back to business...I feel like I write the same 'ol same 'ol stuff on here....is anyone actually reading this stuff or is it just my mom that faithfully checks this blog every Monday morning to see if I have posted a new one? I can always count on her to let me know I didn't post a new blog! :)~ (Love ya mom!)

So here is my 17 week picture - I gained an inch from last week (which I didn't post a picture because I somehow saved it on my cameras hard drive and I don't feel like trying to get it off at this point). I am now 33 inches - which means I have gained a total of 4 inches since we started this lovely journey.

FINALLY! We're back! 15 Weeks!

Okay...so...I know its been about a month since I last posted. But, please, let me explain. First...you all know how hectic it can be during the holidays - enough said. THEN - to get sick during the holidays...not so much fun. AND THEN - our computer has a virus...so it has been very frustrating to do anything on it right now. I have gathered enough patience to do this posting because it has been too long since you all got an update. So here it is.....

January 1st I took a picture - I look horrible in it because we had a New Year's Eve party and friends of ours stayed until about 2:30am. Yeah...way too late for a pregnant chic. But...I took it anyway and I will post it down below so you can compare the difference between January 1st pic and January 10th pic.

On January 7th I had my second appointment. I weighed in at 138.9lbs so I gained 1.3lbs since my last appointment 4 weeks prior. The baby's heartbeat is about 150 beats per minute - its always cool to hear that beat! I gained some much useful knowledge...like I can eat salami and deli meat! I've had so many people tell me I shouldn't or can't or to stay away from it and articles on the web....but, really...how many of you mom's out there ate deli meat while you were pregnant?? And your child is fine right??? Okay...I'm eating my salami! I also learned that I do not carry the cystic fibrosis gene...good knews for our baby!

My next appointment...the BIG ONE...is February 4th at 7:30am. I will be getting an ULTRASOUND!!! Yes...to all of you who have had so many guesses on what gender baby we are having - you will know that day. Well, we will know that day - Ryan and I might just hold off on telling you guys until we want to. hahaha - JUST KIDDING!!! I bet you want to smack me don't ya?? I couldn't do that to you guys...its as exciting for us as it is for you...or vice versa...whatever.

Okay, well - here are the two pictures. The first one - which I look completely exhausted is from January 1st. I measured in at 31 1/4 inches. The second picture is from today - January 10th. I measured in at 31 3/4 inches. So far I have gained a total of 2 3/4 inches. Lucky me...my pants don't fit anymore and my shirts are amazingly getting shorter and shorter! haha - guess I'll be going maternity clothes shopping soon.

Yeah...so....there definitely is a difference. Don't ya think?
